The power steering system is the key parts of motor vehicle, it is important to safety and comfort of vehicle, and it directly impact on people's evaluation of the quality of cars, people is demanding the motor control, comfort and safety of cars better and better.At first, The paper introduced the autower steering system of present research and the trend of development in domestic and foreign. And analysised tradition hydraulic power steering system's principle of work, static characteristic, established dynamic mathematical model. Based on tradition hydraulic power steering system , the flow control of hydraulic power steering system was proposed, namely additionally built proportion valve, vehicle speed sensor and the electronic control unit in the foundation of traditional hydraulic power steering system . The electronic control unit examined speed signal, and controled proportion valve, caused to change the power enlargement ratio to realize continuously adjustment.In order to realize this plan, this paper had established the flow control of hydraulic power steering system's mathematical model, has designed 51 integrated circuits as the core electronic control unit, gathering vehicle speed, computated output voltage, and controled the proportion valve, realized the control request.Finally the paper designed experiment, examined electronic control unit control effect, and optimized the PID parameters. The test result indicated that the electronic unit work normally, and was able to satisfy the quest of hydraulic system control performance.
