Study On Creating Bus Timetable By Computer

Urban public transport from its birth plays a more and more important role in urban traffic. And with the development of cities and in-depth, the intensifying jams becoming increasingly serious, which made the city public transport one of a hot subjects to be researched. However, as a system, urban public transportation has many complicated factors with mutual influence, which include scheduling plan, personnel management and technology management. Along with the public transport system becomes more and more sophisticated, the artificial experience and manual calculation method to cannot be relied on confront compile more difficult timetable. With the development of computer science and technology and a wide range of network applications, use computer replaces the manual preparation of scheduling plans has gradually become the public transport operators supported. Using computer for the bus scheduling and personnel management can be effective analysis the multiple factors in such a complex systems. However, the current study in the static scheduling is not enough. Thus the effective of information method to the means of public transport operators is discounted.This paper attempts to a detailed analyze for the timetable, then using passenger flow data, which extracted from public transportation IC card, to explore a computer-aided compile method of timetable.In a detailed study of scheduling draft, the paper proposes a new method to specify peak and non-peak hours. And based on this, put forward a general process of study out upward and downward scheduling draft and a checking algorithm when the departure vehicles are not equal. At the same time, dispatch every vehicle's interval by the arrangements for the flow changes. Then fill the above determined times sequence into the horizontal timetable.At last, through the analyses of three different types bus routes in Beijing, using this method for some trials. Finally, pointed out the inadequate of the algorithm and continue to study direction.
