The Harmonization Study Of Xi'an Street Furniture And The Environment

It is more and more centralized and convenient for resident by higher efficiency, faster information communication and prosper business. However, it also brings many contradictions such as loss of city localization and sense of belonging. We feel listless living in cold cement and sealed box. The relationship of us becomes more and more distant and the environment has been polluted seriously. As a intermedium between human and environment, Street furniture show its existence in space, meanwhile it also has effect on action style and life concept of common population, which transfer the information and characteristics of city and play an important role in construction of harmonious and unique city.Concerned the problem existed in street furniture of cities in China, the paper is aimed to give a theory of harmonization and analyse the factor to influence on street furniture and environment deeply, which shall be used for planning and design of street furniture of cities. It discusses the harmonization between public facilities and environment in terms of territorial culture, behavior psychology of people, visual uniformity, human machine, device easytouse, sensibility and biology in order to solve the existed problem. Take Xi'an as an example, it is to make research on its status and analyse in classification and discover problem so as to solve the problem based on theory of confluence, meanwhile, to conclude the solving principle about harmonization between street furniture and environment of Xi'an.It is aimed at providing an clew for designers and suggestion for city planning construction department and user by the study. Consequently, the self identity and proximity to the city will be prompted and the quality of city will be improved.
