New Understanding Of Hangzhou's City Streets Though Real Experience

Streets are people's first experience of city lives.As urban planning of the most cities nowadays is based on the premise of transportation,citizens have lost their pedestrian environment and city lives.It is not hard to conclude that streets are walking to their own death.In such situation,aim of the paper is to expound the streets' needs back to people's true feelings as well as the cities return to real scales.The paper also works on how to return to reality concretely.The article is divided into five parts.The first part is about critiques of large scale operations of current urban planning on the premise of true feelings.Second,through the investigation and research of Hangzhou city streets,the author analysis city streets' present situation and discuss the reasons of the above situation.Third,under present condition,the article probes into the construction of urban problems of values.The author reveals the importance of reshaping the social values from the perspectives of social problems and specific appearances.Last but not least,the author proposes to reshape a priority on foot walking-streets.With comparing to real cities cases,the author further studies the four problems associated with walking-streets.Finally,as a reference of urban design practice work,the article tries to raise some concrete conditions of walking cities,and put forward a comprehensive strategies of Hangzhou city center walking designing.
