With the development of society and the functional requirement of structures, the deep foundation pit excavation has a tendency towards deeper in depth, larger in size, and more complex in structure. Compound soil nailed retaining wall served as a new type of retaining structure has been widely used in the foundation engineering. However, nowadays, the design process of the compound soil nailed retaining wall is mainly depend on the experiences because the study on the stability and mechanism of the compound soil nailed retaining wall falls behind the engineering practices. Based on some ready practices and studies about the compound soil nailed retaining wall, the author's main researches as the followings:Comprehensively addresses the components and the structure of the compound soil nailed retaining wall falls. At the same time the engineering property and mechanism, the construction features and styles of the compound soil nailed retaining wall falls is also studied.The damage styles of compound soil nailed retaining wall falls are fully studied. And then, the checking computations methods and processes are also been done.The mechanism and the influencing factors on bearing capacity of the compound soil nailed retaining wall are studied.Based on some engineering practices in Xi'an, the author suggests the parameters for design and stability calculation of compound soil nailed retaining wall in this region.
