Web Light-Gauge steel joist structure system (Web steel) is a new type of steel structure, coming from Canada with such many advantages. This kind of structure has been used mostly in low story residential building for 20 years in North America. A series of testing research and finite element analysis were done in Wuhan University of Technology for the Web steel truss beam, truss column, wall and joint. A 5-storey Web steel teaching building and a 6-storey Web steel apartment block was designed. The research work was provided as a reference for the popularization and application of Web steel in China.It agrees our national estate policy applying Web steel to multiple-story residential building. Web steel has a good future in China.inadditonly,the research of the middle and small span building of this system is doing now.It has many advantages, such as light weight, higher standardizing, assigning space flexible, good performance of the seismic resistant, industrialization producing, short construction period, protecting environment, and so on. Now the system of this strcutrue is in research, such as convertional pratice and so on. the light steel-framed stucture composite walls made of thermal insulation material,and thermal performance is not clearly. Additionly, the comparison between conventional structrue and light steel-framed stucture in the same projects.this papers work in explanation convension practice , themal condivity of composite wall,and comparison of steel used in industity building. calculation of theml conductivity of composite wall by using finite element softmare of ABAQUS.the conclusion are:1,work in explanation convension practice about wall, floor and roof of this structure system.2,comparison of steel used between new type of this structure system and normal structure system about the same industity building.3,calculation about the composite wall conductivity with the finite software ABAQUS.in industity building.Thickness of gypsum board and OSB tablet have great effect in heat transfer of the composite wall.especially the gypsum board. this calculation is conductivity of the composite wall increaed with thickness of gypsum and OSB board.The conductivity of The model which we choosed is small. So is Heat flux of Steel-framed.isothermic surface is uniform.
