The Real-time Vehicle Monitoring And Recognition System

As the vehicle inspection stations are generally set up, the department of the vehicle management requires the true, accurate and legal data from the stations. To satisfy the requirement, setting up a real-time vehicle monitoring and recognition system becomes an important research topic.In this thesis, we introduce the importance of the real-time vehicle monitoring and recognition system at first. Then we propose a solution to meet the requirements, discuss the related theory, and present the implementation of the proposed solution. The experimental results are shown at last.This thesis presents a real-time vehicle monitoring and recognition system. The system is mainly used to provide multiple online surveillance video and records. It can be used by the department of the vehicle management in real-time surveillance and checking on working status of different workstations. The system can take photos of the vehicle in the real-time and identify the vehicles by analyzing the photos of the vehicle.This system is composed of a server end and a client end.The server end mainly provides the multiple online surveillance videos and a MPEG-4 based video compression coding technique, takes photos of vehicles in the real-time, and provides the video coding to related authorities.The client end mainly receives the video compression coding sent by the server end, monitors and checks the working status of the checking stations, take photos of vehicle, and recognize the vehicles.
