The goals of the high area working platform is not only to stretch faster, lift higher and heavier, but to be more stable and reliable.. In this paper, focused on the GTB16 manned high area working platform, according to the modern design concept and method of virtual prototype, the integrated application of different software was adopted to achieve the static performance simulation of the operating mechanism and the dynamic optimization analysis of the key structures. The test was completed to verify the technique and compare the results got through different ways and to assure the most exact virtual prototype model in static and dynamic simulation. Based on this, the suggestion was given on how to improve the rigidity, strength, stability and security of the working device.The major research is as follows:The finite element analysis of the telescopic boom was carried out with different modeling methods whose results were verified bt the static performance test.With the model that described the actual static performance well, the strength of the boom in dangerous conditions was forecasted.The modal analysis of the beams was done and the modal test was executed to confirm the accuracy of the analysis.In the basis of Riley Energy Theory, the simplified model of the structural vibration was built and the senility analysis was finished.Aiming at different goals, the topo optimization of the three beams was carried out. Through many times iterational computation, the static and dynamic performance of the improved structures is much better than the origin .
