The Roto-Jet pump is a new kind of very low specific speed pump, which has many characters, such as low flux, high pressure, smooth Q-H curve, simple construction. It's efficiency is higher about 10-20% than the centrifugal pump which are at the same specific speed. It is always used in the industry of oil, chemical, metallurgy, paper making, fire fighting. Because start relatively late in fastenning the research of gushing out the pump at home, it is not deep enough and overall to study, especially of the pick-up tube and rotating case, it is still relatively low to cause the efficiency of this type pump, it is less to use. Therefore, it has very important theory value and well applical foreground to research in the rule of flow field inside the Roto-Jet pump and it's design technique.The standardκ-εturbulence model and SMPLEC algorithm are applied to analyze the full flow passage of the type XP300-3 Roto-Jet pump by FLUENT6.1 in this thesis. The main conclusions are as follows:For verifying the veracity of calculational data, this paper predicted the performance of the Roto-Jet pump. It can conclude that the tendency of the predicted curve agrees well with the experiment curve basically, the error of forecast date is little at the design condition, this provides the foundation for next work.Through comparing the three types of pumps which are used the different impellers: impeller with rectangle channel, compound impeller with short and long blade, impeller with after the bending angle blade, we can draw the conclusions: the distribution of the pressure and velocity in the rectangle flow channels are even, the head and the efficiency of the hole pump can meet requirement; But in the other two types of impeller channels, the distribution of pressure's gradient is uneven, especially near the outlet is not good, the uneven distribution of velocity explains the unstable of the inside flow, there are backflow and big whirlpool, the efficiency is very low. So, to the Roto-Jet pump, the impeller with rectangle channel is a better choose.In the research of the rotating case's angular velocity of rotationω_L, through takingmany sections, we can draw the conclusions: the fluid does synchronous movement with the case and does rigid movement, it means that every point's angular velocity is same, the connection between theω_L and theωisω_L≈0.95ω. This value has great significance, and is obtainedfor the first time at home.In the research of the pick-up tube's inlet, uses the conclusionω_L≈0.95ωto design the size of pick-up tube's inlet, then design the new pick-up tube, new pump. Through comparing the old and the new pump, we can draw the conclusions: the efficiency of the new pump is higher, the inside flow is better. So, explains that the conclusionω_L≈0.95ωis correct, and the design ofthe pick-up tube's inlet size can base the formula Q_t =ω_L r·(π/4)d~2.
