Roto-j et pump (Pitot Pump)is a new kind of pump with low flow rate and high liftwhich was designed based on the theory of pitot pump.Its specific speed ranges from5to30.This kind of pump is mainly widely applied in industry fields such as oil chemicalindustry、 m anufacturing of carbon black、 power station and so on. Impeller is one of the mainflow components of Roto-jet pump.Its inner structure is more complicated than centrifugalpump and vortex pump so that the the flow situation of inner cavity has a heavy influence on thedistribution of stress and deformation. Also its complicate inner structure can easily lead to thefailure of impeller. Therefor,the flow situation of inner cavity and the distribution of stress anddeformation have a heavy influence on the safe operating of whole Roto-jet pump. Consideringthe safe operation and reliability,based on CFD and FSI theory,the numerical simulation ofmain flow components was carried out and the static pressure distribution of impeller’s innerflow channel、 the stress and deformation distribution of impeller was researched. This workcan promote the operating reliability、optimize the performance of impeller and reduce theprime cost for design.Through the numerical simulation of the main three flow components and the analysis ofimpeller’s structure,The influence between the inner flow field and the structure of impellerwas researched and the character of structure based on centrifugal force load and fluid staticpressure load was explored.The main work of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on Solidworks, the flow channels of three main flow components and impellerstructure was created. Based on GAMBIT and ANSYS Workbench, the mesh of flowchannels and the structure of impeller were divided.(2)Based on standard k turbulence model and the CFD software-FLUENT, the3Dsteady turbulent flow of whole flow channels was simulated under different workingconditions.The distribution of velocity and static pressure was obtained. Based on thesedistribution chart,the stress and strain of impeller under different flow rate wasresearched.The analysis results offered theory basis for the research of impeller’s structure.(3)Using “Static Structural” module of ANSYS and based on one-way FSI theory, thestatic stress analysis of impeller’s structure was carried out. Then,under different workingconditions,the influence of di fferent loads on impeller’s structure was researched.The changeof stress and deformation was explored.These analysis results offered theory basis for thereliability research of Roto-jet pump in the future.
