Roto-Jet pump's unique pitot tube technology has earned it a major share of its primary US market, providing a more durable solution for pumps in demanding and difficult, high pressure applications. This pump's specialty is low to medium flow rates at high pressures. It is frequently used for high pressure shower supply on paper machines.The development process, principle and configuration of the roto-jet pump was introduced in this text. Method and principle of how to choose parameters of the impeller and collecting pipe are given and carried to practice. And a image of the impeller pattern is draw in Autocad. Also, model two different impellers and two collecting pipes in Unigraphics,in order to understand the structure of the roto-pet pump's impeller and the collecting pipe better, it is also for the next analysis work of CFD.Secondly, the structure of CFD and the process of simulation is interpreted. And combining with FLUENT software, the govern equations, turbulence models, methods of discretization, discretization schems and solutions of discrete equations, which are used in simulations of flow field in turbo machinery, are analyzed. Based on the theory of CFD and aided by business software Fluent, numerical simulation for the flow field of the impeller and the collecting pipe has been done. To this complex 3D flow field with rotation and backflow, standardκ-εturbulent computational model was used. The special boundary condition was analyzed, and a successful grid division has been done.Through contrast the computed result and the experimental result, The relationship between the performance and the configuration of impeller and flow arrester is revealed through analysing and testing of the product. The result shows the distribution of the velocity and k in the impeller and pitot tube. The result can be used to predict the impeller and the pitot tube's performance and optimization design.
