Circulating fluid bed multi-generation technology can combine pyrolysis, gasification and combustion in a hybrid process according to different compositions of coalition. A critical technology of the systems is distribution of the hot ash. The distribution of the hot ash, one part returns to fluidized beds and other part returns to parallel pyrolysis chamber, is difficult for multi-generation systems.Based on a review of the existing research works, a modified Pneumatic Distribution Valve (PDV) with mid-clapboard was use in the circulating fluid bed multi-generation cold system of 400 mm in diameter and 6000 mm in height and a combined moving bed of 476 mm in diameter and 1200 mm in height. Experiments on single-loop run and two-loop run were carried out under different pressure between inlet and outlets of the Pneumatic Distribution Valve, which was achieved by control pyrolysis chamber's pressure; test bed material fluxes in single-side run and two-side run under different fluidization air; analyze running of the system in single-loop run and two-loop run under different chamber's pressure.The experiments results demonstrate that within the working range of pressure distribution the Pneumatic Distribution Valve can work normally and adjust circulating bed material flows between loop one and loop two. Pressure of one outlet affects bed material flux of this side, but little affects the other sides. When the pressures of two outlets are steady-going, the material flows can be adjusted by controlling the fluidization air. When chamber's pressure changes, running of the system keeps steady by adjusting fluidization air timely and the pressure profile changes little.
