Harmonic pollution is becoming serious in the power system nowadays, because of the increasing applications of power electronic equipments and the conventional rectifier has already become one of the main harmonic sources. The three-phase PWM voltage source rectifier (VSR) can provide constant voltage, unity power factor and low harmonic distortion. It is getting a much better application as the new generation of rectifier.The principle of the voltage source PWM rectifier is analyzed in detail first, the space vector method is then presented, and the mathematical model is established in abc coordinate,αβcoordinate, and dq coordinate. The simulation model of PWM rectifier is also described in detail in the MATLAB/SIMULINK. The parameter of PI regulator of the voltage-loop and current-loop is designed using dual closed-loop control scheme.Fuzzy control combining conventional PI regulator is selected as the control strategy of three-phase VSR. The model of the conventional PI control VSR and fuzzy control VSR are established with MATLAB/SIMULINK, and the elementary results of simulation are given.A control law based on Lyapunov's stability theory is also discussed. The model of the Lyapunov control VSR is established with MATLAB/SIMULINK, and the elementary results of simulation are given.
