The growing environmental and economic concern has lead to recent efforts to produce more fuel efficient and lower emission vehicles. This leads to important technological transformation. To satisfy these needs, the hybrid electrical vehicle combines advantages of the electric vehicle in town and of the traditional vehicle. HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) has two types of power sources, so the control is more complex. Control strategy of its powertrain is a key technology in HEV study. In this paper the control strategy of HEV powertrain is studied mainly by simulation. The research and development on Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) is an important method to resolve the pollution of environment and the energy crisis. But at the present time, the research on HEV in our country is in the developing. In this paper discusses the development actuality of HEV technology and EV simulation technology. Considering the development circumstance of our national HEV technology, a HEV drivetrain configuration which is suitable to the situation of our country is put forward in this thesis. We introduced the basic theory of the fuzzy logic simply, then set the simulation model suitable for parallel hybrid electric vehicle according to the front simulating method. To get the mathematic model of overall system, an equivalent weight dynamic model is established. And on the basis of the model mentioned above, taking actual requirement into consideration, a forward hybrid powertrain system model and a composite hybrid powertrain system model are developed. After analysis the energy flow in each mode which incorporates the mode of operation of the vehicle i.e., acceleration, cruise, deceleration and so on, we create an optimized ICE curve control strategy.
