Shortage of resources and environmental pollution is two big problems that the worldfacing now. With resource consumption and industrial development, the environmentalpollution is increasingly serious and greatly influenced the People’s daily life. Traditional caris one of the main reasons for the above two big problems. As a result, countries around theworld are regard the industry reform and innovation as one of the important measures forsustainable development and environmental protection. Meanwhile, a large number ofautomotive technology research also in full swing. A hybrid car is arises in this situation atthe historic moment. Energy control strategy as one of the key technology of hybrid cars, itsdirectly determines the energy efficiency of hybrid vehicles, therefore, the in-depth study ofcontrol strategy and development is necessary.This paper designed a kind of energy control strategy based on fuzzy logic control.Through the detailed analysis of structure and working principle of hybrid electric vehicle, wesummarized the basic starting point of automobile energy saving, which is the basis of thecontrol strategy design. Next, with reference to some existing models for vehicle parameters,from the angle of theory of engine, motor, batteries, and main components se lection, and thenthrough the Matlab/Simulink software, Simulink simulation model is established for thevehicle’s major components. The variety of existing energy control strategy were studied, andthe simulation method of the vehicle are discussed and laid a theoretical foundation for thedesign of fuzzy controller Before control strategy model is established.Finally,we use theToolbox of Matlab software to design the subset of the control strategy and define themembership functions, and also write the fuzzy control rules, determine the mamdani to bethe fuzzy reasoning method, finally we established the need of the fuzzy controller in this paper.Prior to the simulation,we have done the secondary development for the Advisor.We designthe vehicle simulation model with fuzzy controller and embedded it into the Advisor, then runthe Advisor2002.Simulation is carried out under the CYC-UDDS circulation conditions,thentake the results of simulation and operation indicators of electric assist control strategy for adetailed analysis and comparison.The conclusion shows that the engine efficiency and SOC offuzzy control strategy is obviously better than the range of electric assist control strategy, thisis also proved real-time, accuracy and efficiency of fuzzy control strategy.
