Recently, the vernacular towns of Jiangnan are favored by tourists for its unique cultural landscape. On the background of the economic globalization and urbanization, the protection and development of the cultural landscape of the vernacular towns is increasingly urgent. So, the heritage of traditional culture and the authenticity of cultural environment becomes the chief issue to be considered. This paper makes a study on the cultural landscape through two new perspectives. One is: Research Perspective of the cultural landscape is shifted from "impacting" to "changing". In the paper comprehensive analysis is made positively and negatively, in order to avoide the partial study. The other is: It makes a comprehensive study on the non-material cultural landscape, which little has been done, as well as materal cultural landscape..The method of Empirical Study ensured accuracy and authenticity of the study, mass information is obtained by means of field work, such as observations, surveys, semi-structured interviews etc. On this basis, the application of Software SPSS and Excel and the property and quantity analyzing method make the article more scientific and more reliable.Based on the analysis of cultural landscape of the vernacular towns of Jiangnan, the paper provides a framework system of cultural landscape research, and makes a systematic study on the variety of material cultural landscape. The conclud shows that the negative impact of tourism on non-material cultural landscape is not obvious , and these changes are currently in a "quantitative change" in the process of local and traditional culture, which have not caused a "qualitative change" and pressed the impact on the original social model and cultural characteristics.
