Analysis Of Vulnerability Based On Risk Assessment In Power System

Power system has developed into the big scale complex system. It brings huge interests to society and people, meanwhile with incipient fault itself. So power system operation of security and stabilization becomes the most important in the recent years all the world. The security assessment of power system includes deterministic method, probabilistic method and risk assessment method.Combining vulnerability with risk theory, this paper introduces a method of vulnerability analysis based on risk assessment in power system. This method defines power system to a vulnerable system on basis of risk assessment. Considering some security indexes, risk indexes are established. It analyses vulnerability assessment of power system through fault probability and consequence. At last, taking a area grid system for example, it calculates corresponding risk indexes and analyses its vulnerability.
