The Initial Research Of Direct Driving Vertical Axis Wind Turbine With No Stators

There are mainly two kinds of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine:wind-resistance turbine and lift-wind turbine. This paper mainly studies the lift-vertical axis wind turbine, the wind machine application a special body -- Reverse double wind impeller, one impeller direct drives generator rotor Rotating, another direct drives generators "stator" rotating inversely .The wind turbine group omit the gearbox improve the reliability of the system and may well reduce the speed of the wind turbine requirements. As the wind impeller has a special structure, to realize the structure need a low speed double-rotor generator. In this paper, low-speed dual-rotor generator was studied , and then to discuss the design method of wind impeller systemly and Speed limit Mechanism, the wind impeller uses NACA0015 airfoil. Finally, discusses the layout of the wind turbine system.
