Blackout would produce profound impact for the close relation between the power industry and both of people daily life and the society economy activity. So the dispatchers must quickly resume power supply maximum on the premise of related constraints when the fault accuse on the power network. The service restoration of a constrained power network is a multi-object optimization problem. A practical method for distribution system is proposed which is based on the characteristic of distribution system. The method mainly describes the whole distribution network using substation layer and substation inner layer by the fundamental knowledge of Graph Theory and graph operations from the view of graph theory and performs hierarchical search to get all of the preliminary plans , and then a comprehensive evaluation function which considers some practical factors such as frequency of operating switch and device overload and so on will be used for the sequencing according to their quality for the selection of the dispatchers. It owns capability of hunting the restoration route fast and conveniently. It provides powerful support for the operation personnel complete service restoration quickly. The system based on this theory runs well in the field.
