The power system optical fiber on-line monitoring system is used to maintenance and management optical cable of the power system optical fiber communication system. The power system optical fiber on-line monitoring system is an important way to ensure the normal operation of the communication system of power system. The main point of this paper is the technology research of high precision power system on-line optical fiber monitoring system. Firstly, this paper introduces the study, application and development of supervisory system in power system, and explains the principles of the supervisory system. Secondly, and most importantly, this paper designs bidirectional test algorithm which based on the OTDR event combinatorial cluster analysising. And this algorithm is designed for the very long optical fiber line's OTDR test. This paper also designed and developed optical power monitoring and analysising sub system. The research results of this paper have been applied to practical projects, and have improved the monitoring and testing accuracy of optical fiber monitoring system.
