In this thesis,basic principle and measurement method of medium powermeter for pulse peak and CW pulse are presented,general evaluation process of measurement uncertainty,especially the power measurement uncertainty is described in detail.The method to develop an automatic test system with Labwindows/CVI is discussed.Detailed design description and some experimental data are also presented.Successfully-developed automatic calibration system of the medium powermeter for pulse peak and CW pulse extends the frequency range from original 18GHz to current 40GHz and extends power range to 200W in maximum. This significantly improves the military power calibration service.This system designed in "Directional Coupler Method" adopts low power standards for smaller measurement uncertainty in medium power application,computer programmable technology is used to integrate the calibration device so that automatic calibration of medium power for pulse peak and CW pulse within 10MHz-40GHz.Uncertainty introduced by DUT mismatch is ignored,calibration uncertainty of CW mediumpower is less than 7%,calibration uncertainty of pulse peak medium power is less than 9%.
