The Metal ZnO Arrester (MOA) are important protection device for guaranteeing the safe operation in power system, itself operating quality will directness influence the security of power system, therefore carrying on the monitor to the arrester movement condition appears especially important. Since long, in power system the arrester monitoring facilities have been continuously by full current arrester monitor meter primarily, although the arrester monitor equipment based on the full current method are simply and reliable, also it plays the huge role to safeguarded grid safe operation, its data resolution is low, and unable to gain the most precise running status of MOA, and the data can only in scene read, not be able to satisfy the need of monitor and the synthesis automation.In this paper, based informer production, in view of insufficiency existing in arrester online monitoring devise, one kind of wireless multichannel arrester online monitoring devise based on the DSP has been researched. The main study content is: the hardware platform building of devise, the establishment and debugging of system software and upper-computer software. The devise could transfer eigenvalue of characterization MOA operation status to the control room by wireless form, and the upper-computer software designed by Visual C++ to display monitoring data. The results from tests and simulation show that the monitor effect of this equipment is good, and it has the broad application prospect.Finally this article obtain artificially moistened experimental data from laboratory to use in fault diagnosis based on the BP neural network, and the data is carried on the examination in the MATLAB environment, sentencing rate is reaching as high as 93%, which proved that this method has certain feasibility. If this method uses in the arrester fault diagnosis, it will definitely to enhance arrester exactness sentencing rate and play certain positive role.
