The geometric error is an important evaluating indicator for piece part. With the development of modern industry, modern coordinate measuring techniques becomes a new technology of measurement. The research based on the methods of evaluation of the position errors is very important. According to the definition and evaluating standards of position error in GB, mathematical models of the position error evaluating method is established, arithmetic of computer and a evaluation software is designed in this paper. The details as follow:Based on rules about position error in GB, mathematical models of position error are established including four kind of parallelism error,four kind of uprightness error,four kind of movement error,four kind of lean error and gang error.Based on the mathematical models, the arithmetic for some kinds of elements are developed, including: four kind of parallelism error,four kind of uprightness error,four kind of movement error,gang error.Using language of VC++, a software of position error evaluating is developed. Module structure is adopt in this software and every element has one module.The correctness of arithmetic and useful of software was proved trough a lot of examples in this paper.
