With the rapid development of economy since recent decades and western development drive, airport construction in west area has been promoted. However, it is mountainous in west of China, and the geographical conditions of mountainous airport are complicated, generally with the problems of high altitude, high intensity, high-fill, etc. There are several issues in project construction, which should be specially studied. This assay takes Kangding airport as an example, mainly on "stability of high-fill slope and pavement deformation", which will be greatly meaningful to other airports' construction. Mainly concluded as:(1) The site is of moraine soil, which is as typical non-uniform ground base, with non-uniformity distribution, non-bedding and big change of bedding position. However, with high dry density, high compactness, good permeability, and high bearing capacity, it can be founded to good ground base as filler after treatment.(2) According to the study of dynamic compaction of site original ground base, it shows that the stone block aerial zone of original ground base and the zone affected by groundwater is suitable for dynamic compaction, and can meet the requirements of bearing capacity and compactness after treatment. The separate dynamic compaction for filling works can not meet the requirements of compactness.(3) According to the observation result of deformation, it shows that the displacement of slope land is smaller, the stability of slope is good, and the biggest displacement is on the jointed position between the smaller restriction and the highest slope angle of filler. The settlement of filling works is big, and develops rapidly.(4) The settlement of filling works simulated by FLAC3D 3-D value meets the observation value well. For H direction, the different settlement is about 3‰, P direction is 2.5‰. The settlement after woking is different in different position. The settlement of A bid-stage after working is 15%~25% of the total.(5) Write the program for before and after treatment of FLAC3D to solve the difficulty of constructing FLAC3D model and outputting the contour plot.(6) Apply the 3-d difference method strength reduction principle to evaluate the stability of high-fill willing works of Kangding airport, and put forward safety factor and failure mode, which makes the value calculation as intuitionistic as traditional limit equilibrium method, and is meaningful for engineering.(7) Through FLAC3D dynamic analysis, proposed the new zero-adjusting method for baseline of seismic wave, studied the side-slope dynamic response, the magnification regulation of acceleration and side-slope failure mode.
