| The traditional value of historical streets is much more precious for us in the current situation, which is lack of culture. While looking toward the fabulous urban construction in China, we should pay more attention to the problem of filling energy into these weak city streets and keeping the relevant characteristic of culture.This thesis deeply analyses three samples of Chinese cities, such as the center street of Harbin, Shanghai Xintiandi, and museum area of Jingdezhen, to discuss the possibility to regain the energy and satisfy the needs of nowadays people by reconstructing the public space of historical streets area. In addition, the thesis also points out the principle and keys of reconstruction of the public space of old streets according to the protection and development as well. Finally, the thesis gives some revelations and expects toward the work of the future. |
