The improvement of the experimental technology of I.C.engine contribute to its high performance and reliability. Advanced experimental technology of I.C.engine enhance engine's development, and consummate engine's performance. In other words, experimental technology of I.C.engine advances together with engine's development. Therefore, it is important problem to design the system which not only can measure exactly and analytical comprehensive but also is convenient and economical. In this work, an experimental equipment of multi-channel data collection and multi-cylinder combustion analyzer was development. Based on a personal computer, a transient combustion analysis system consist of hardware technology and software tools. The system was consisted of high speed A/D card, Multi-channel HMI and relational measure instruments. By communication with engine sensor, the computer can record status signals of the engine. A hardware circuit was designed to improve the capability of anti-disturbance of the hardware. The object-oriented method and a number of program tools such as Labview and DAQmx, were applied to develop a software system. Furthermore, the techniques of multi-thread, multi-buffer and multi-serial port communication were implemented in it to improve the speed of data acquisition and data processing, and to solve the harmony between high-speed data acquisition and real-time analysis.By the multi-cylinder data acquisition and analysis functions, the differences of cylinder to cylinder combustion parameters were studied. The statistical analysis of fluctuations of the indicated mean effective pressure(IMEP), the peak cylinder pressure and the maximum rate of cylinder pressure rise for each cylinders respectively. It is proved the system could provide valuable reference to engine control and research.
