Optical Coordinate Measuring system is based on the digital Close Range Photogrammetry. It is suitable for on-field large-scale measurement and online monitor because of its wide measuring volume, high precision and great efficiency.The system is composed of high precision camera, computer and target. The measurement is achieved by taking pictures of target which is the only part straight contact with part being tested and is most vulnerable to the change of environment. After the calibration of camera and position, the calibration of target is the most important factor to improve the precision of system. This article designs a real time and speedy target calibration method to calibrate the parameter of the target.Measurement Software is an important part of the system. Efficient database management and division of module will greatly improve the measurement process. This article designs the key modules of the measurement software and develops 3D CAD parts by the support of ASIS/HOOPS.The main works of this paper are summarized as follows:1. Analyze the keystone of Optical Coordinate Measuring System. Study the measurement process of it.2. Study on the real time and speedy target calibration method to calibrate the parameter of the target.3. Study the need of Optical Coordinate Measuring Software, divide and program the key modules of the software.4. Analyze the data structure of ACIS-HOOPS, with the help of it design the functions of 3D CAD for user to measure and simulate visibly.
