Pantograph/catenary dynamic performance capabilities have a significant influence on the qualities of collecting electricity and higher speed operation. It is an efficient way to use finite element program software to simulate and analyze on the contact system.This paper, firstly, introduce the general conception, the application, as well as the research of pantograph and rigid catenary. Then, the nonlinear locomotor equation of pantograph is derived from the Lagrangian analysis. There is little change on the height of contact system when Pantograph works along the normal circuitry. So, a vertical linear lumped parameter model is developed after linearization at stated height.The finite element model of the rigid catenary also its locomotor equation are set up .At the same time, its natural frequency and resonance is calculated by Fortran programme, which is the theoretic basis of the pantograph/catenary coupling dynamics.Locomotor equation of pantograph and rigid catenary which is set up in General coordination system by its natural frequency make up of the locomotor equation of Pantograph/catenary coupling system. At the same time vertical coupling dynamic model of double-pantograph/catenary which consist of linear model of double-pantograph and finite element model of the rigid catenary, which is simulated by Fortran programme.According to the emulation result, the thesis accounts for the factors such as the velocity of locomotive, the span and the rigidity of rigid catenary, the mass of the head of the pantograph, the rigidity of Rigid Suspension, the tangency rigidity between pantograph and catenary, the distance of the two pantographs when they are in work, which may affect the interaction of couple-pantograph /rigid catenary systems. All of this offer theoretic basis to the design and research of double-pantograph/ rigid catenary system...
