With Technical Specification for Concrete Structures with Specially Shaped Columns issued, more and more structures with specially shaped columns will be applied in the engineering. Presently, researches about specially shaped column subjected to biaxial compression are abundant, but for inequiaxial special-shaped column the researches are quite few. Therefore, systemic researches are needed for inequiaxial specially shaped column.Based on the behavior of RC columns subjected to biaxial compression, a nonlinear full-procedure analysis method for inequiaxial L-shaped, T-shaped and十-shaped columns subjected to biaxial compression was proposed and the computer programs for this analysis were developed as well. Comparison between theoretical and experimental results was made and satisfactory agreement between them was obtained. In order to study the behavior of RC inequiaxial L-shaped, T-shaped and十-shaped columns under biaxial compression, effects of angles of loading, concrete strength, ratio of reinforcement and axial force ratio on the short column were analyzed. On the basis of this analysis and the results of 960 RC inequiaxial L-shaped columns, 960 RC inequiaxial T-shaped columns, 960 RC inequiaxial十-shaped columns calculated by the programs, the bearing capacity as well as deflection of the columns was investigated. The calculating formula for eccentricity magnified factor was proposed, and then compared it with criterion formula.
