Reinforced concrete members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression is the most common members in engineering structures. Strictly speaking, member subjected to eccentric compression in only one direction does not exist. In many situations, we can ignore the eccentricity one direction. But in other situations, we can not ignore any eccentricity. Than we must regard the members as members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression. In research of load bearing capacity of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression, professor B.Bresler was most famous. He proposed conception of"destruction curved surface"and"Nikitin formula"and"similar ellipse formula". The research of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression afterwards mostly based on research of B.Bresler. Other scholars ameliorated the formula, proposed methods and computer programs which can calculate steel ratio of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression. In this article, we will analyze the affecting factors which affect the ultimate load of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression. Than compare the ultimate load gained buy computer program and calculated buy formulas. So we can discuss the accuracy of formula. Centered on this goal, the following tasks are conducted:â‘ First, the author elaborates on the existing situation of research on members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression. And based on the position of research on members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression, the research target of the paper is determined.â‘¡The loading experiments are conducted through using beam column fiber model finite element program based on the flexibility. It is proved that this program can simulate the ultimate load of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression with high accuracy.â‘¢First, determine standard hinged columns as research subjects. Than analyze the affecting factors which affect the ultimate load of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression. The paper is focused on how the ultimate load of members subjected to biaxial eccentric compression change with the change of slenderness ratio, steel ratio and relative eccentricity.â‘£Compare the ultimate load gained buy computer program and calculated buy formulas.
