With the development of integrated circuit technology, electrical and electronic technology and adjustable speed AC motors, more and more famous companies have produced own AC servo motors from the 1990s. The design of AC servo system has become more and more important in the practice.This paper introduces a AC servo control system based on a journal bearing test equipment. Author has researched into the bearing test equipment and proposed the overall design plan. The paper choices MINAS A series AC servo motors as drive motor and integrates single chip technology, CPLD technology and new EDA achievements. Author designed the AC servo system and completed the hardware and software independently. The system includes the human-computer interface based on VB6.0 software and the control PCB including 89S52 microchip and 95XC108 CPLD chip based on PROTEUS software. The system controls position and velocity of the bearing test equipment, samples velocity and torque signal and completes the real-time control.After installing , debugging and evaluation of the AC servo control system, the result shows that the system is inexpensive and convenient and fits the requirement of the AC servo control system completely.
