Transmission tower is a kind of high-rise structure of importance and erected everywhere. Being the vital lifeline system, the destruction of transmission system is destroyed will lead to the damage of power system, which cause fire disaster and property loss.Generally speaking, the transmission system is subjected to dynamic loads, such as the wind, the environment vibration, seism, etc. Because of the flexibility of conducting wire, the transmission system shows strong nonlinear behavior, which will brings about difficulties for the accurate analysis and is limited in the field of qualitative analysis. How to ensure the normal work of the transmission system under formidable natural condition is a crucial topic in the electric power field, and has caused attention around the world. In this paper, the analysis of dynamic behavior and seism-induced response of transmission line system, which is based on the 5A-ZM2 500 kV transmission line system under seismic load, has been carried out. According to the analysis result, the differences of dynamic responses of single tower model and one tower with pair lines model and two towers with three segment lines model have been compared . This paper mainly covers the following aspects:1. Finite element model of the transmission tower and line system is built and the dynamic properties are analyzed.2. The differences of seismic responses of single tower model and one tower with pair lines model are compared, indicating the effect of line on seismic respond is large.3. The differences of seismic responses of one tower with pair lines model and two towers with three segment lines model are compared, indicating the difference between them is large.4. The differences of dynamic responses of two towers and three segment lines model subjected to 2D( X ,Y) seismic loads and 3D seismic loads have been compared, indicating the effect of seismic load on resoponse in large.
