Water tunnel is an equipment of hydrodynamic experiment, which can be used for investigating boundary layers, characteristic of ship wake, onflow , hydrodynamic cavitaion response of liquid and some other useful phenomenon. Water tunnel is a liquid circulation system that the pressure and the velocity can be separately controlled. Ventilated cavitating water tunnel is the equipment studying cavitation phenomenon under ventilation circumstances. The continuum cavitation water tunnel is an important equipment for investigating supercavitation phenomenon, so the designing and making ventilated cavitating water tunnel has an important meaning in present investigating. In order to make the designation project of the water tunnel rationally in science, qualified in strength and stability and fit other requirements, working safety in the technical environment, furthermore avoiding sympathetic vibration in the working process, the strength and modular analysis is necessarily for the water tunnel models.Strength was investigated for water tunnel models which indicate the designation is satisfied of its strength requirements. Static analysis for its total displacement and equivalent stress under variety pressures, the results show those are also fit the requirements. Analyzing modular and calculating inherent frequency and vibration modules. Comparison the influence of different supports number and location for the structure inherent frequencies. Using variety element types for the structure analysis, because of the low stiffness of the shell element the structure inherent frequencies are small. Comparing the influence of water for calculating the structure inherent frequencies with pipe element, the frequencies which pipe element with water are small. Application of finite element analysis software ANSYS in the tunnel model of pipeline structure imposed on the sinusoidal excitation forced vibration. which indicates when the harmonic vibration is equal to the inherent frequencies the displacement became maximum value, it represent the structure occurs sympathetic vibration. Under identical amplitude, when the inherent frequencies equal to the load's frequencies for the structure begin to sympathetic vibration, different point has different displacement which represent under the same frequency ,different point has different values.
