The rock and soil mechanics research focus is gradually shifted to the ground, the underground engineering is constructed in our country and many other countries in the world, and the scale of construction is very large. When the rock mass of the underground engineering excavation is good, the engineering stability is easily to be guaranteed after excavation. While the underground engineering geological condition is complicated, such as the underground rock mass engineering that containing more of the structure, the stability of the cavity is conditioned by many factors after excavation, careful analysis and evaluation are needed for us paying more attention to the excavation stability of surrounding rock. So the response analysis of the static and dynamic of the joint rock mass underground caverns is very necessary. Research results can provide use for reference for the joint rock mass underground engineering excavation and supporting. In this paper, the discrete fracture network seepage model is adopted to the seepage analysis on the joint rock mass of underground caverns. The strength reduction factor is used to replace groundwater effect on the stability of surrounding rock. The state grid form is improved in the software udec, Through the numerical analysis method studying the response rule that main factors affect on the stability of rock cavern of static. The influence factors include the form of the section, the buried depth, the lateral pressure coefficient and the space between the joints. Adopting three dimensional discrete element method, a numerical model of joint rock underground cavern is established to study its stability. The safety response after excavation is simulated respectively under the conditions of routine loads, seismic loads and seismic loads with bolting support. The variation of stress and displacement under the three conditions are obtained. In this paper, the results of the study indicate:the strength subtraction is apply to explore the effect that the groundwater has some influence on the joint rock mass stability of surrounding rock of underground caverns. This can provide some reference for engineering design. Some research is done on rock cavern static response characteristics, the response rules that various factors affecting on the stability of the cavern rock mass can be deserved and summarized systematically. The seismic analysis is done on underground caverns. The cavity is in supporting conditions, its damage effects have been delayed by the supporting system. The studying method and results can be instructive to the research of deformation and failure mechanism of underground cavern surrounding rock and the design of earthquake resistant engineering, and provide a reference for further application and research.
