With the development of power electronics, computer technology, electromechanics, and control theory, permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been widely applied in servo system of low and medium capacity, and it is gradually taking the place of DC motor and stepper motor. The thesis focuses on the design of the system of PMSM servo system based on the advanced Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chip-TMS320F2812, and has done some theoretic researches as well as experimental research are presented in detail First, this dissertation illustrates the mathematic model of PMSM.According to the transformations of motor reference frame, the torque control can be separated independently into the current control of direct axis and quadrature axis. By considering the practical need, zero direct axis current control mode is chosen. Then the implementation of vector control on DSP platform is demonstrated based on the constructed model. Space vector PWM is chosen among all kinds of inverting technology whose theories and realization is also presented. After the modeling analysis and implementation scheme, a digital permanent magnet AC servo system is developed step by step. And every detailed step of both hardware and software design is depicted in this dissertation.Additionally, this paper devises a novel method for the rotor initial position detection, in which, depending on a particular algorithm, the rotor position can be found when the motor stops moving. The experiments are carried out finally, whose results show that the designed servo system meets the demand of required performance and paves the way for future research.
