The relation between Chinese landscape painting and Chinese classical gardens is interpenetrate, interact and mutual-compensatory in thousand-years development. They have close relationship and supplement each other. It can be seen that the development of Chinese gardens was proceed along the thread of painting continuously. The form and trend of landscape art was decided by the aesthetic consciousness of landscape painting, and they have extreme identity and interaction in many aspects include design aim, design significance, design elements, design technique and design method. Studies on the relation of Chinese landscape painting and Chinese classical gardens along with the elucidation of its principle enable the modern landscape architecture designers to well understand how to utilize the resources of Chinese classical gardens in thinking way.Starting from the point of inheritance, development and innovation, this thesis analyzes and generalizes the congruousness between Chinese landscape painting and classical gardens on the sectors as design aim, design significance and characteristics, and then confirms the close link between the two. The relation between landscape painting and Chinese classical gardens was summed up in form and logic, and the common ground was discussed based on design method, design elements and historical development.Landscape painting is the key point of Chinese classical gardens researches. The studies on the relation of Chinese landscape painting and Chinese classical gardens were important for us to have a sound grip of Chinese classical gardens and Chinese natural aesthetics. And it will be conductive for us to introduce traditional art to modern landscape architecture.It is important and active to study the relation between landscape painting and Chinese classical gardens, and Chinese gardens should be enriched and developed either in visual form or in cultural connotation by incorporating artistic flavor. |
