The general FEA program ANSYS is used to calculate the stability carrying capacity of box-section members with slender web subjected biaxial eccentric compression. The influence from changed parameter is analyzed. Major work is listed as below.Firstly, the models of box-section members with slender web subjected biaxial eccentric compression are set through the general FEA program ANSYS with the Shell 181 element. The initial curvature and the residual stress are considered. The stability capacity can be carried out by the model. The feasibility of the model is proved through the comparison with existing data of experiment.Secondly, parametric analysis of the member is carried out and FEM results of ultimate bearing capacity is obtained by changing parameters such as the width-thickness ratio of web, slenderness ratio of members and residual stress etc. The study indicates that the capacity descend when the web plate width-thickness ratio, the slenderness ratio and the load eccentricity of members extend. In addition, there is adverse effects to the bearing capacity caused the residual stress.Thirdly, the result calculated by the model of ANSYS is compared with the current codes of our country. It is conservative about calculating capacity by the current codes of our country and the extent is different caused changing the factors.
