The shortages and problems of traditional discharge methods of civic feces waste water through gravity in China have been analysed. It points out that traditional gravity pollution discharge system consumes large amount of freshwater resources and brings about the unable reclaim of the nutrition components of N,P,K in civic feces wastewater because of the dilution of civic feces. And traditional gravity pollution discharge system is short of sewage treatment system. The ability of sewage treatment factory is over insufficient, and large amount of wastewater discharged to vicinity's water area without treatment causes serious environment pollution. Moreover, the traditional wastewater system discharges civic feces wastewater by gravity,and the wastewater piping system needs some certain downward inclined slopes and big caliber which cause the high expense of excavation. It also needs the pumping stations in the topography smooth places with high expenses of the pipe network and the equipment. So it has limited the popularization of the traditional gravity pollution discharge system.After the analyses of the shortages and problems of traditional gravity pollution discharge system. it puts forward a new wastewater-discharge system—vacuum sanitation system. For the convenience of studies the vacuum sanitation system in the laboratory,it has developed a kind of manual simulation excrement. It uses amylum, sawdust, clay and water to simulate the weight, the moisture content and the viscosity of the person excrement. Through the experiment of vacuum sanitation system using the manual simulation excrement,it seeks best values of working parameters of vacuum sanitation system.In this article, it has introduced the new system through several aspects, such as research background, current research situation at home and abroad, system definition, principle, system designment, system components and system characteristics. It has also analysed the main parameters of the new system and the possibilities of association uses with the ecological sanitation system, and confirmed the best parameter values of vacuum dregree, water consumption, pumping time. The best values of those three parameters are vacuum dregree 0.03MPa~0.035MPa, water consumption 1 liter/time~1.5 liter/time, pumping time 1s~1.5s. There are also some improvement measures of the problems that occur in the running of the vacuum sanitation system. Through the comparisons in technical standard and the social, ecological and economical significance between the traditional and new-developed systems, it points out that civic feces wastewater can be collected by vacuum sanitation system and the vacuum sanitation system's water-saving properties of dry areas, especially on China's serious water shortage in the north has more extensive practical significances. Moreover, after the application of vacuum sanitation system achieves the certain scale, it can develop biology-fertilizer system through association uses with the ecological sanitation system, producing the high economic efficiency. Then it won't contaminate the water area and saves the expenses of Sewage treatment plants'construction and the operating greatly, promotes the positive cycle in the environmental protection and the economic aspects. Vacuum sanitation system has a very good development prospect regarding to our country with water scarcity and low popularization of the draining water pipe network.
