With the rapid development of national economic, more and more funds are used for building highways. The users are now making higher and higher demands on highways, not only driving in all-weather, but also driving safety and economical with a certain velocity, this put forward higher demands for designing, and the new challenges are appeared for engineers who undertake the related works. The rigid pavements of concrete are simulated the mechanical model of elastic foundation plate in this article. the plate and the foundation are studied as a total system. The plate is simulated as 4-nodes rectangular plate elements, the foundation are simulated as 8-nodes 3D finite elements and 8-nodes 3D single way,two- way,three-way infinite elements. The static and dynamic equation of the system is obtained by using the minimum potential energy and Alembert principle, the programs are writeed with Matlab. Research the characteristic of elastic foundation plate subjected to static and dynamic loads, this study provide definite reference to design the pavement structure. The mathematical derivation of FEM and IEM which used in this article is gived, also the calculation method of element stiffness matrix and element mass matrix. Introduced the Wilson method of dynamic calculation. Because introduced the IEM, the unit numbers are decreased relatively. Accuracy of calculation and boundary condition is improved compared with FEM. The coupling method in this article enriched the theoretical research of elastic foundation plate and has guiding significance on designing of rigid pavements of concrete,airport-runway,raft foundation.
