At present, Electric Traction making is a main drag form in all production machinery industry. Therefore, Asynchronous motor has been used in various sectors, daily life, and other fields. With the upgrading and development of production machinery industry, the requirement of starting performance of motor is higher than before. Because exchange asynchronous motor has the advantages of low cost and high reliability and less maintenance, it has been widely applied. But asynchronous motor can cause great starting current in the process of starting. Too big starting current can accelerate insulation aging of motor and greatly reduce the motor's life and make the line pressure drop. Thus, Much energy may be wasted . At the same time, the results can lead to the fact that other electrical equipment can not work in the same power grid. So, there is an important economic value as to how to improve the performance of asynchronous motor starter. In this paper, Based on the analysis of asynchronous motor on the basis of the starting process, I propose the principle of the soft starter by the soft starter theory, comparing analysis of several methods soft start and the pros and cons of several soft starter operation mode. In this paper, based on in-depth analysis of the way AC soft starter on the basis of principle, FPGA is based on the three-phase asynchronous motor with the soft start of the hardware design of the main circuit. At the same time given for the control of the FPGA core soft start circuit design of the system hardware and software design processes. On the synchronous signal circuit, driving circuit, phase sequence judgement, the current detection circuit is a specific hardware implementation of the programme.
