The environmental pollution and deficiency of petroleum resources have been the two serious problems against the sustainable development of the automotive industry. Using the reasonable system structure and the control algorithm optimizes work area, and realizes the function of regenerative braking; Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) can achieve the low oil consumption and the improved emission. So HEV has been accepted world-widely as one of the most promising method to solve the two serious problems.The city buses are fixed traveling line, regular running time and steady driving features, and Hybrid Electric City Bus (HECB) can use its advantages, what's more, we can give the concept of "one route one bus", according to the particular traveling line. Then, we can gain the lowest emission of exhaust gas and the best vehicle efficiency. All shows that the batch processing of the HEV lies in HECB according to our national conditions.Based on the analysis of the Mild Hybrid Vehicle,Power Hybrid Vehicle and Energy Hybrid Vehicle, hybridization rate of HEB had been analyzed.While briefly analyzing the configuration and function of HEB, regarding energy-conservation and environmental protection as the main goals, the style selection,parameter design and matching analyses of HEB's main parts are Carried on.This paper takes some researches on productive HECB based on "Fuel-Electric" HEV, analyzes the structure of Series and parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle, and makes compared research on each control strategy. It provides an academic basic for HEV design. Automobile simulation software ADVISOR is developed by US National Renewable Energy Laboratory, by which we establish models of key parts of SHEB and PHEB, call some built-in data bank of ADVISOR, we make simulation analyses after develop the control strategies.Finally, we draw a conclusion through a comparison and analyses of the simulation results, fuel economy, vehicle controling, vehicle power and efficiency of main parts of HEV. The whole design, modeling and simulation have reached the anticipated design object.
