Energy sources are the basic necessity for mankind sustenance and motivity of its development. Along with the development of social economy and advancement of civilization, the human being's demands on the resources and energy sources are increasing continually and the inconsistency of their supply with demand is becoming more and more notable. At the same time, the utilization of resources and energy sources is of inconsequence, which results in the waste of resources and pollution of environment. Therefore, the research on and exploitation of a new generation of energy system, which advocating the saving and scientific utilizing of energy sources, is imperative under the situation.By thoroughly understanding the development and research of the distributed energy sources system and taking into consideration of the distribution and usage status of energy in the western part of China, a project of a new distributed energy sources system with complementary use of renewal energy resources and fossil resources suitable for the west region was presented. This project included in itself a marsh gas-generating system and a hydrate-storing system. This project could not only solve the problem of electricity, heat, and gas supply, but also improve remarkably the ecologic environment and, especially, the living conditions of people in the west region. It could also meet the requirements of our country to construct a harmonious socialist society of resource economization and environmental friendship.By establishing a mathematical model of foregoing system and making a uptown of 5000 square meter in LANZHOU, GANSU as a demonstration, the steady thermal process of heat-supplying subsystem was simulated by using the large chemic- technologic software APPEN PLUS, and according to the results of this simulation, the gradient variation of smoke and utilization result in the corresponding temperature ranges were obtained. At the same time, the performance of thermal-economy and environmental protection were analyzed, and the efficiency of heat-supplying subsystem was found to be 0.77. In the identical condition of the supply of cool, heat, and electricity, by mean of comparison of gird net plus the chamber of boiler and CHP system with the foregoing new distributed energy sources system with complementary use of renewal energy resources and fossil resources, the venting contamination of the system presented was carbon dioxide alone and the amount minimum. The result showed that the heat-supplying subsystem possessed not only the higer thermal efficiency, but also a better performance of environmental protection.
