Improve energy efficiency, development of low-carbon economy is the world’s inevitable choice to achieve sustainable development. The coordinated development of Economy, energy and environment is an important prerequisite for China’s modernization and sustainable development goals. Distributed Energy Systems is one of the important new technologies to improve energy efficiency. The system can simultaneously generate electricity and heat, the heat can be further transformed by heat absorption unit for cold, achieve high quality electricity and low quality thermal or cold energy requirements effectively unified.This paper discusses the typical flow of distributed energy system and unit configurations, gas turbines and internal combustion engine combined heat absorption unit is currently the main application form and direction of development of natural gas distributed energy projects.
