Application Of Visual Basic 2005 For The Design And Calculation Software Of Soil Nailing

With the high development of modem architecture and urbanization and the increasing scale and hight of the buildings, the foundation's excavation becomes deeper and deeper. Thus the supporting of foundation is becoming a hot and difficult issue in the projection of high buildings and receives more concern among the fields of academy and engineering. And also many new techniques and methods come forth in engineering field of deep foundation pit supporting, among which, soil nailing is a safe , reliable and economical technique in the engineering practice.The engineering practice of soil nailing is very abundant, but theories and research of this technique is relative poor. Moreover many foundation engineering projects are constructed in complex conditions in urban areas, and the working site is limited, and the supporting of foundation must ensure the safety of both itself and the nearby buildings, therefore, in the designing of soil nailing much complicated designs and calculations must be made such as that of the bearing capacity, internal stability, sliding resistance and tilting resistance. However, in the practice the design and calculation software about soil nailing is relatively less. And as most designs and calculations about soil nailing rely on engineering experience and manual calculations, they undoubtedly increase the workload of the designers and also the unreliability and unsafeness of the soiln nailing.In consideration of practical use, this paper is mainly about some efforts on the software development of soil nailing. According to the theory of soil nailing's technical regulations; a visual interface software about the soil nailing is developed by using the software of the VISUAL BASIC.This design software of soil nailing in this paper can complete several designs and calculations as follows:(1) The collection and memory of parameter about the soil geology of foundation;(2) The collection and memory of parameter about the soil nailing;(3) Calculation of soil nailing's lateral pressure in various conditions;(4) Computations of the extract bearing force;(5) Analysis of the interior stability of soil nailing;(6) Analysis of the stability of soil nailing about sliding resistance;(7) Analysis of the stability of soil nailing about tilting resistance.As the assistant instrument of soil nailing, the design software is tested and the result of calculation is reliable. It can also effectively increase the efficiency and accuracy of the design of soil nailing, and help reduce the workload of the designers, and offer assistant calculation and reference.
