The Analysis Of Color Pollution In Urban Environment

Color is one of the most indispensable components in the eyes of the world. So long as there is light, the variable colors will come into sight. And the cities are the most fundamental inhabits, besides being the integrated embodiment of material and spirit. During the present urban development, the study of the urban environment is becoming the one of the priorities to be dealt with. Such being the case, the "urban colors", being the rudimental elements of its environment, are playing an increasing role in the aspect of environmental quality. This paper focuses on the analysis of the problem about color pollution which is one of the urgent concerns of "urban colors".The causes of color pollution consist of no others but the following two: first citizens' more critical demands on the life in urban cities, second the lack of systematic control and mismanagement on the urban panning. More exactly, the demands of the urban citizens have surpassed the improvement of public infrastructure and paid more attention to the requirement on the subtle environment regarding humanism, culture and aesthetics. Color pollution, as well as the air pollution and water pollution, has posed itself as the major environmental issue in China. Therefore, the solution to the color pollution, establishing the harmony between the refreshing inhabits and the cultivation of humanistic surroundings reflecting the local color and tradition will allow no delay in the coming days. And the accomplishment of this goal calls for the thorough research and theoretical validity, and the plausible and practical rules and regulations on the enforcement of urban colors.Since the study of the urban colors is still at the formative stage in China, there will be some understandable lags between the study in China and that of the others. This paper, based on the actual analysis of the samples from urban color pollution, puts forward the effective measures and the well-considered scheme so as to have a satisfactory resolve to the color pollution and provide a macro and feasible blueprint on the urban colors.This paper falls into five chapters altogether, namely introduction, the theoretical framework on the study of the colors in the urban environment, the analysis and research on the color pollution, the reconstruction and improvement of color pollution and the thorough exemplification on the blueprint of the appliance of colors in the urban environment. The first chapter presents the analysis of the urban colors and its significance, purpose and the researching methodology.The second chapter is on the rudimental theory of colors in urban environment, including the theory of colors, the relative terms, the composition of the colors in the urban environment, and the importance of the colors to urban environment.The third chapter gives a further emphasis on the impact of color pollution and its damage to the citizens, by means of the research and analysis of samples of color pollution in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi province and its causes and the origin.The fourth chapter revolves around the topic on the measures and its procedures to improve the urban color environment.The last chapter puts forward the prospective blueprint of urban color spectrum for Taiyuan with the consolidation of the design of urban colors.
