In rural areas, much longer low-voltage power line is required because the residents live sporadically. And due to the poor conditions of the power-supplying equipments, unstable voltage and high distribution line loss, the core issue for improving the rural electrical power network technology is how to solve the problem of inefficent voltage and line loss so as to reduce the power loss in rural electrical power network.Reference to the advanced foreign technology in dimishing line loss, economizing power consumption and improving the voltage quality, this artcle explores the application of single-phase transformer in rural areas. Based on the current situation of the rural low-voltage power networ with characteristics such as low power distribution load, load density and long power line, it also proposes a new power supply mode named bundled insulation conductors consisted of two lines and one neutral which features its small capacity, low loss, short radius, long extension. And this new mode can reduce the line loss, improve the voltage quality.Experimental application in three villages achieved a great success, especillay demonstrates its novelty and excellent performance in power conservation. Adopting this new mode can also achieve economic efficency and social efficency. Also an new method is offered for future usage of the single-phase transformer.
