| In Recent years, the development of reciprocating natural gas compressors which used in natural gas filling stations are just unfolding, it has been one of the hottest selling point in global market. However, the technical level of domestic reciprocating natural gas compressors is comparatively backward, it has badly affected natural gas filling stations on safty, reliability and economy.Base on design experience of model D-5/5-250 reciprocating natural gas compressor, general design scheme and structural characteristics of reciprocating natural gas compressors were researched in this paper. And corresponding countermeasures are put forward according to technical problems.The leakage problem of packing assembly in reciprocating natural gas compressors also has been reseached in this paper. Firstly, using the theory of gas-liquid two-phase flow, deduced the thickness of lubrication film in the leakage gap which make from packing assembly and piston rod, and determined leakage model of the fluid in the leakage gap according to the thickness of lubrication oil film. Secondly, deduced calculation formulas for counting the leakage of gas and lubrication oil by fluid mechanics knowledge. Thirdly, the theory was tested by experiment. The result shows that the theoretical results are reliable. Meanwhile, in order to reduce workload by manual calculation, an corresponding application software was developed, it can be use to calculate the leakage of packing assembly in reciprocating natural gas compressors.At present, model D-5/5-250 reciprocating natural gas compressor is just in adjusting and running-in period. The running results show that this compressor has excellent performance. The work that I do in this paper can be use to guide the design of reciprocating natural gas compressors which used in natural gas filling stations, and provide certain reference value for researching other similar compressors.
