Shaftkind parts and components, which play important parts in mechanical devices, the processing of such parts are often produced the phenomena of drum-shape, "Let knife" and vibration system for not enough stiffness in the radial axis of cutting force, resulting in larger processing error. The current by adopt auxiliary support increases parts stiffness and improves the precision maching parts. Hydraulic self-centering Steady Rests as a lathe, grinder match accessory is widely used by foreign made, however, because foreign manufacturers on the cetre-core technology of steady rests is not open ,and the new steady rests for study are not yet ripe in the country , localization of the high-end self-centering steady rests has not appeared , domestic manufactures are relying on the indroduction of the products and supporting the use of machine tools,but its expensive price , many domestic small and medium enterprises unbearable. So Research on Hydraulic self-centering Steady Rests has important practical significance.The core of Hydraulic self-centering Steady Rests is cam mechanism, in this paper we make use of envelop method and polar method deduce equation of the cam contour and to compare the two methods; then make use of MATLAB analyzes cam parameters on the contour of the impact by equation of polar method, analyzes cam parameters on cam pressure angle of impact. Under the conditions of no external force in the workpiece, deduce cam mechanism static formula and do static analysis,get the relation of the force and oil pressure, nip radius; then under the conditions of external force in the workpiece, analyze mechanism force and get critical load of mechanism, provide the basis for the stopcock diameter choice; Calculate the shear strength and squeeze strength of cam mechanism staff; make use of ansys software put a finite element analysis on the cam mechanism staff, has been got stress and strain of the distribution.
