This article analyzes from the characteristics and the superiorities of dummy specimen technology, and introduces the dummy specimen technology to its new product design development, in view of the insufficiency of existing hydraulic pressure excavator design method.The research mainly conducts from following aspects:Firstly, the article introduces the fundamental theory of dummy specimen technology, reviews the present situation and the trend of development in this aspect at home and abroad, and proves it is essential to apply dummy specimen technology to new product development design of the hydraulic pressure excavator.Secondly, under the guidance of the theory of dummy specimen technology, the article proposes development flow of dummy specimen technology of the new hydraulic pressure excavator Then it analyzes characteristics of two big project application software Pro/ENGINEER and the ADAMS needed by the applied dummy specimen technology development, introduces the connection method between them, and elaborates specifically effects and application method of the dummy specimen technology to solve hydraulic pressure excavator new product development.Finally this article has conducted the research on the system simulation principle, mainly on the modeling method of machinery and the hydraulic system---separately establishing the excavator machinery and the hydraulic system simulation model by using related theories and software. The subsystem models above separately realize in dynamics simulation software ADAMS and 3D modeling software Pro/Engineer. By simulation analysis of the excavator dummy specimen mechanical system operating region in ADAMS/View, the paper determines the excavator complete machine operating region, and obtained some special work sizes of the hydraulic pressure excavator. Taking the scoop in the tooth crown spot as a reference point, it concludes the excavator entire excavation work process envelope graph and the hydraulic pressure excavator some special work sizes. And also it has confirmed the organization design rationality. Moreover, through the analysis on the movement simulation of tooth crown spot carrying to the scoop in, it has a conclusion of movement simulation analysis to the tooth spot in the entire excavation work cycle time speed, the acceleration, the position and the time, explained should consider when posture adjustment and unloading causes impulse to hydraulic cylinder influence. Through the analysis to the scoop, the bucket arm and the arm carrying on the finite element under the different dangerous operating mode, the paper concludes their stress distribution map, confirming the design variable rationality. Simultaneously has carried on the optimized design. The visual specimen hydraulic system has been established in ADAMS/Hydraulics with various parts of model organic being integrated, so that the hydraulic pressure excavator machinery and the hydraulic system union simulation can be realized. From the paper, the simulation result conforms to the technical requirement basically. It has provided the very good reference for the physical prototype trial manufacturing and other pattern machine - fluid multiplexed system design and the research. Therefore the excavator product development may be sped up, the cost reduced and the market competitive power enhanced.
