On the foundation of comparing existing fault location methods, this paper selects C-Traveling Wave Method for main study object according to the characteristic of distribution network. C-Traveling Wave Method has major advantages as follows: first, it has rapid location speed; second, patrolling is not need; third, it can carry out fault location many times. This method is suitable for the fault location problem with earth resistance no larger than 3 . To further raise location accuracy, The paper gives out the new method about signal-phase grounding fault location of 35kV, compositive location method, introduces the principle of this method ; and expounds the software design of the system. Then the paper introduces the software and the hardware about the systemic equipment generally. The equipment of Signal-phase grounding fault location includes two signal generator source and a corresponding signal receiver, and the control of the hardware equipment is designed and accomplished by the advanced C8051F310 singlechip. kΩ...
